Cornish Artwork:

My Cornish artwork is inspired by my love of Cornwall and its beautiful scenery, harbours, coastal views and walks. Painted in watercolour with fine liner details or alternatively, illustrated with a calligraphy pen and ink.

I love to draw and paint while out and about, sometimes using sea water for my coastal watercolours.

Please take a look at my Shop if you're interested!

University Work:

Derived from tinkering with my own car, my inspirations for my University dissertation were classic automobiles and their vast intricate engines. I explored recycling metal in sculptural form, developing redundant car parts into decorative items as well as drawing the automobile itself in chalk and charcoal.

I admire the “community” within the engine - how each individual component is a crucial requirement and how they work together to enable the machine’s operation. Electric cars exclude the self-taught mechanic - the feeling of working on your own machine is lost and given away to hi-tech equipment.

Mourning the classic car, I create my own haunting fictions about the survival of the combustion engine, giving it the capability to reanimate and gain consciousness due to its impending discontinuation.

For my University dissertation, I held an exhibition for my car-based work within Vosper's showroom in Truro.

This showcased my charcoal and chalk drawings of vehicles and various car components, accompanied by sculptures that combine light and recycled car parts as well as quotations that inspired the concept.

This was an amazing opportunity and I'm very grateful for the experience.
